Announcing our new album, Fragments

THE NEW ALBUM. IT’S HERE.   It’s called Fragments, and we invite you to take a listen. We have been working furiously over the past few weeks to finish up recording and mixing the new album—and doing all the other little things that go along with releasing it. We got the mastered tracks just last week and are extremely happy with them. (Props to Matt Miller of Mission Control Audio.) We’ve also been working out all the details of our album release party, which will be this Friday, May 29th at Linneman’s with Faux Fiction and The Young Revelators. (And you’re invited!) Everyone who comes will get a free album download. This album is a huge departure from where we’ve been before. We said goodbye to our original blues-punk sound and entered into an indie-rock realm, and we talked all about it in an on-air interview on Milwaukee’s 91.7 WMSE last Tuesday. (Thanks for Craig for having us on The Shape of Rock.) Click here to stream a recording of the show. We’re really proud of the work we’ve done writing and recording this album over the past year or so, and we’re quite excited to finally share these songs with you. Hope you enjoy them! Thanks for reading, and see you on Friday or at one of our other upcoming shows....
Business or Pleasure

Business or Pleasure

So It’s been my turn to write a blog post for a while and I have procrastinated endlessly partly because I hate writing but partly because it feels like a job. I know, I know.. It’s part of the business side of being in a band I guess. It doesn’t stop at playing, composing and recording music. There is updating social media platforms, updating many music streaming platforms such as Soundcloud, Reverb Nation and Band Camp. There is also updating the website,  creating graphics for the CD’s, writing blog posts, email marketing and it goes on and on and on. These, it seems are the necessary trappings of being seen as relevant in our digital culture today, of being perceived as a real band. Why do we do it? We do it because we believe we have something to say, something to share. And it is something unique, as unique as having four friends that come from different backgrounds, different age groups  different perspectives coming together and creating something as a whole, as an entity, as a collective. We have had different guitarists over the years and each one has influenced the band in different ways. They have changed our voice, they have helped us evolve. And that my friends ( the two or three that are reading this) is where the pleasure lies. Signing off Ignacio   Shameless promotion PS: We have a show coming up on Jan 23rd with The Bang Bang at the Riverwest Public House where we will be playing some new tunes, also a new CD is in the works and will be out...
